Camelina oil is derived from the plant Camelina sativa, also known as gold-of-pleasure, false flax, wild flax, German sesame, and Siberian oilseed.

Camelina oil provides a 2:1:1 ratio of the omega fatty acids omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9. Camelina oil also provides specific vitamin E tocopherols: alpha, beta, and gamma. Vitamin E is an important antioxidant for dogs and horses.

Essential fatty acids (EFAs) are called ESSENTIAL for a reason-the body can not make them and therefore, they must be incorporated into the diet!

EFAs that contain omega-3 fatty acids and omega-6 fatty acids play a number of important roles in the body. GLA plays a key role in the regulation of both the inflammatory and immune pathways. It has an important role in brain function, as well as in normal growth and development, and is beneficial for the stimulation of skin and hair growth, maintenance of bone health, regulation of metabolism, and also functions as an important component in the reproductive system.

Recommendation Usage: Dogs

• Small dogs (under 20lbs): 1 tsp (4.24g) once or twice daily.
• Medium dogs (21-50lbs): 2 tsps (9 g) once or twice daily.
• Large dogs (51 plus pounds): 1 Tbsp (13.6 g) once or twice daily. 

Recommendation Usage Horses:

• 1 ounce once or twice per day
• 1 fl oz = 30 ml = 2 Tbsp
